Dr. Cem Topbasi is a Principal Technical Leader in the Advanced Nuclear Technology Program. His research activities focus on advanced reactor materials reliability and materials qualification for advanced reactors by employing innovative approaches such as AI, accelerated irradiation and environmental compatibility tests, and advanced microstructural characterization techniques. Cem holds a Master of Science in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from METU and doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State, where he investigated the fundamental mechanisms of irradiation- induced microstructure evolution of steels for next generation nuclear energy systems.
