Daniel Klein

Daniel Klein is a Senior Technical Leader in ANT. Daniel is responsible for Nuclear Beyond Electricity where non-electric applications of nuclear are investigated. Daniel’s focus lies in the nuclear-industrial integration of heat and electricity for manufacturing processes in the oil & gas, chemical, mining, and desalination industries. He also leads efforts related to the use of advanced nuclear reactors for data center applications, low carbon fuels, and flexible grid support. The efforts of Nuclear Beyond Electricity and the Low Carbon Resources Initiative are synergistic and Daniel’s work supports both efforts. Additionally, his research focuses on the efficient and equitable deployment of advanced reactors in communities with operating or retired coal assets. Prior to coming to EPRI, Daniel worked 18 years for Framatome as project engineer and project manager with a focus on nuclear-integrated hydrogen production and component repair and replacement. He is a graduate from the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, Germany with a background in environmental and mechanical engineering. Daniel holds an MBA from Liberty University and is a PMI certified Project Manager Professional.
